The board
The Lance offers a unique concept of short but very wide boards to learn wing foiling with ease on a really fun board.
With less than six feet long, the Lance is in the short boards range. This translates into an amazing comfort on land and for transport! On the water too as you don’t have that long nose in front of your feet that slows the board down. The Lance is responsive and reactive.
To maintain great stability, our major focus of attention was the width and the volume distribution. It’s been known for many years from windsurfing that width is the key element in comfort. It’s the width that will make your life easier and make the ride less physical. With the very wide width of the Lance, you have an amazing comfort. On your knees, the board doesn’t roll. It remains stable even in the chop.
Icing on the cake, this width will greatly facilitate the control of the foil at the beginning by keeping the board flat during the speed-up phases. You really feel safer with the foil under control.

The wing
The Plus will make you progress faster than any wing. But it is much more than a beginner’s wing: it is the most versatile wing out there.
Its power at the heart of the profile allows you to fly within two pumping strokes and discover wing foiling without having to be overpowered. Pumping is made more simple as the PLUS has a reduced wingspan. This translates to an easy progression, with confidence, in a pleasant wind range.
Its featherweight allows you to go for one long session after another comfortably and to make your maneuvers very easily. You will progress quickly.
Its perfect balance positions it very naturally in the wind and allows you to find the right course immediately. It’s almost on autopilot!
Delivered with textile handles, you can upgrade it by completing your pack with a set of rigid handles or a boom.

The Foil
The X-Over will be the wing on which you’ll learn how to take off, stabilize the flight and nail your first maneuvers.
The great strength of this foil is its versatility over time. Perfect for your first flights, its glide and forgiveness will allow you to go very far in your progression without having to upgrade your foil. Nothing is off the table with this front wing so have as much fun as you can with it.
Fully removable, it is compatible with all front wings, stabs and masts in our foil range. You can therefore make it evolve according to your favorite programs.

For beginner to intermediate riders looking for a pack that allows them to start and progress serenely.
For what?
It truly is the easiest pack in the world, without holding you back from pushing. It’s great for boosting your progress. The width of the LANCE really helps you to be stable and its compactness to be dynamic.
Which one ?
LANCE or ZUMA :
- The stability of the Lance
The shape of the Lance stands out with its compactness. It is rather short for a board intended for beginners but relatively wide which brings a considerable gain in comfort. This is a huge asset for learning pre-flight sailing. Finding your bearings on the board is way easier, especially on rough bodies of water. For someone who’s a complete beginner in board sports, acquiring a perfect mastery of pre-flight sailing is the key. Once you’re at that level, speed will make you take off naturally.
In the flight phases, its compactness limits inertia which helps you in learning your first jibes, tacks and jumps. This is the core concept of the Lance: An easy pre-flight board whose compactness brings you very close to the sensations of a more technical board like the Mint or the Lemon as soon as you take off.
- The glide of the Zuma
The Zuma is a board with a more stretched out shape. Its slightly narrower lines offer a great glide on the water, much like a longboard that can take off on waves with very little energy. It accelerates with the slightest gust, which gets you off the ground in no time. You lose a bit of pre-flight stability compared to a Lance, but its speed quickly puts you on a steady line.
In addition, the shape of the Zuma, with fast accelerations, allows SUP fans to do their first take offs on a foil. By completing your foil quiver with a suitable mast (a 65 Alu mast or an HM 70 mast), the Zuma can expand your practice to SUP foiling. In particular with the help of the ADS fin placed under the front third of the board. This hand-removable FCS II fin, also present on the Lance, limits drift during pre-flight sailing in wing foiling, and limits the row effect when SUP foiling. An effect that is all the more important on a board that’s way shorter than your everyday SUP board.

What size?
The board
Beginners in wing foiling must absolutely have a positive volume balance.
Your weight plus the board’s weight must be less than the board’s volume.
Don’t hesitate to take some volume and width if you’re not sure of your support or not an athletic person.
To be comfortable, we recommend that you take a volume of around your weight + 30 = volume.
Examples for a 7kg board and different sizes:
I weigh 50 kg + 30 = 80L to be easy. Which means that with a 105L 5’6 I would be very comfortable, but without excess. The minimum to float is: 50kg + 7kg = 57L.
I weigh 70 kg + 30 = 100L to be easy. Which means that with a 120L 5’7 I would be very comfortable, but without excess. The minimum to float is: 70kg + 7kg = 77L
I weigh 85 kg + 30 = 115L to be easy. Which means that with a 135L 5’8 I would be very comfortable but without excess. The minimum to float is: 85kg + 7kg = 92L.
I weigh 100kg + 30 = 130L to be easy. Which means that with a 150L 5’9 I would be comfortable but without excess. The minimum to float is: 100kg + 7kg = 107L.
In wing foiling, you can take a board with a generous volume if you are a beginner.
The foil
The X-Over foil is suitable for foilers of all sizes.
Size L has a wingspan of 85cm and surface area of 1300 cm2. It is composed of an X-Over L stab, with a 44cm wingspan, 275cm2 and an 85cm aluminum mast.
- It is a medium-sized foil for those under 75kg.
Size XL has a wingspan of 95cm and surface area of 1650 cm2. It is composed of an X-Over XL stab, with a 48cm wingspan, 335cm2 and an 85cm aluminum mast.
- It is a large foil for foilers from 75 to 85kg.
The XXL size has a wingspan of 105cm and surface area of 2050 cm2. It is composed of an X-Over XL stab, with a 48cm wingspan, 335cm2 and an 85cm aluminum mast.
- It is a big foil for foilers over 85kg or light wind conditions.
General: a bigger front wing will be used in low ranges, in soft conditions. And conversely a smaller front wing in stronger conditions. What you need to remember is that the choice of your wing depends on your size, which requires lift, and your average speed, which generates lift.

- 2 US GONG Box Double Entry for standard foil plates equipped with 4 screw + nuts (9cm center distance). Compatible with our SCS system. This new system allows ultra-fast assembly of GONG foils. (INSERTS NOT SUPPLIED WITH THE BOARD).
- 1 x ADS central FCS II box
- 5 x 5-hole footstrap inserts to optimize your position.
- 1 x large light double V-shaped front footstrap and 1 x large light rear footstrap (screws included).
- 5 mm hard brush pad : deck covering designed for great comfort and absolute grip.
- GONG carrying handle integrated in the center of the board on the hull.
- Leash plug to never lose your board.

Delivery
Delivery delay
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.
Eco-responsible packaging
Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.
The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.
For our shipments, we use:
- Scotch craft paper.
- Final packaging in high-end cardboard.
- For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.
This means:
- Reusable and recyclable packaging.
- An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.
- Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).
Receipt of your product
Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.
Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
More infos
Warning
When you practice foil you expose yourself to possible serious risks. A poor mastering of a foil can expose you to cuts and/or serious bodily harm, even death for yourself and possibly others around you.
Foiling should be practiced, in all circumstances, by taking precautions and taking into consideration all that is involved and associated with surf/SUP sports. Remember that a foil is long and has an edge that could cause slicing and is capable of reaching very high speeds. Getting hit by a foil, or hitting another, can have dramatic and highly unwanted consequences.
Always foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.
Always wear a helmet and protective vest that assures floatability. Always wear a full body neoprene wetsuit.
When handling and manipulating a foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
GONG does not accept and declines any and all responsibility in case of accident that implicates a GONG foil. The practicing of this sport and the use of our equipment makes the user fully responsable for his/her actions while being a foil user.
Warning
You must read the detailed user manual completely before using your Wing for the first time.
Be sure to have a full understanding of it. Wings can be dangerous depending on their size and the strength of the wind. You have to check the wind range of your wing so that it corresponds with conditions and your actual skill level.
For the first few sessions, never use your new Wing in its high wind range. Use your Wing in a secure environment. Take the necessary time to learn how to handle the equipment under optimum safety conditions. Never underestimate the traction power of your Wing. Even a beginner’s Wing can develop a pulling force of several hundred kilos depending on its size and the strength of the wind. Do not overestimate your abilities. Misuse can cause serious injury or death to the practitioner or others. Do not use your Wing at sea in offshore winds. Use your Wing equipped with a leash. Be careful to avoid any collision. Be extremely careful if you sail with your Wing and a board equipped with a foil. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for damage or damage caused by improper use of the Wing or carelessness of the user.
