The blade
The shape of the blade has a small volume to erase mistakes and lets itself be forgotten. The fluid outline combines comfort and performance in the surf with very good propulsion capacities.
An ABS field protects it over the entire length of its perimeter exposed to shocks.
When paddling, it’s a powerful paddle. The catch is straightforward, managing direction requires little effort, its behavior is very healthy and reassures less technical paddlers. It’s able to paddle at high rhythm and to generate a lot of grip under acceleration, it is an efficient paddle in all circumstances.
In surfing, it glides wonderfully thanks to its magical upper surface. With its moderate rocker on the upper surface, it generates good grip in the surf when the paddle is far from the surfer (bottoms turns for example) for a precise drive and offers maximum glide as soon as it is close to the axis of the board and the surfer. You never feel pulled back when applying downforce on the paddle, well handled it is able to increase your speed in turns.
There is still a little volume at the top and in the center of the blade to maintain tolerance, especially in mushy waves and in choppy water. It’s a great paddle for all aspects of surfing.
The handle
The handle has an ergonomic T-shape. It allows great precision in the blade movements in and out of the water. The water exit is clean because your upper hand perfectly controls the angle of the blade. The ergonomics are discreet and efficient, not excessive in volumes. Support in the palm is forgiving and well distributed. Comfort and efficiency.
The shaft
The shaft is round and the outer diameter is 29mm. In full carbon, it offers optimum dynamism while maintaining an interesting compromise between rigidity to be precise when surfing and flex to maintain comfort when paddling on a sporty ride. This is also a good point for those with painful joints.
The extension has an anti-twist groove to prevent rotation in the shaft. The clip assembly of the blade on the shaft is of hexagonal section so as to limit the play.
Buying guide
For whom?
The shape of this Board makes it suitable for users of all levels. From pure beginners to experienced enthusiasts.
A beginner will love its fast glide and its 4 thickness which gives a feeling of firm contact with the water (it doesn’t roll from port to starboard because you are low on the water).
An expert will make it surf like never before. You ride much further than with a classic SUP, it turns like crazy, you draw real surf curves, all this with the amplitude and glide of a Longboard.
For what?
Its biggest asset is its versatility. Often we hear versatility and we think that it’s so-so on all terrains. But the magic of the Couine Allround is being a great surfer.
Once you know that it’s a great board to surf on and that it paddles fast because it’s long and streamlined, then you know that it’s a great board for all areas of SUP: surfing and cruising.
So, cruising or surfing? The choice is yours.
What size for the Couine Marie Allround?
Even if anything is possible, here we mark out the main uses:
The 10’6 x 31’’ Allround
- 50% surfing: a true surfer.
- 50% cruising: it glides really well in all conditions.
- SUPer size : less than 85kg ideally but it doesn’t matter because it’s super easy..
The 10’9 x 33’’ Allround
- 50% surfing: a true surfer.
- 50% cruising: it glides really well in all conditions.
- SUPer size : super easy for everybody. No stress.
The 10’11 x 35’’ Allround
- 50% surfing: a true surfer.
- 50% cruising : a superb glide in all conditions.
- SUPer size : super easy for everybody. No stress.
What is the difference between our First range and Couine Marie range ?
Best quiver choices?
This board is perfect with a Carbon Mix 100% GONG Paddle cut to the right size or adjustable, and a top of the range fiberglass or carbon fin.
What length of paddle?
The way you paddle, your stance and the frequency at which you paddle will depend on your program. You will need a longer paddle for touring for multiple hours, while you would need a shorter paddle for surfing in order to facilitate quick and strong paddle strokes to catch a wave. Take your time to pick the right length/setting for your paddle, because it will help give you the stability and performance you will need.
Examples:
For a 100% surfing session, set your paddle between your waist and +10cm.
For more relaxed surfing, a +10cm paddle will be perfect.
For a ride, set your paddle between +10 and +20cm.
Which leash?
For the Couine Marie ALLROUND range, a 10′ leash is ideal.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your life jacket.
Good to know:
Never leave your board in the sun, let alone an inflatable board which will heat up very quickly. You risk seeing it peel off because the materials it is made of become flexible in the heat. Never store it under a car window, or in contact with a heat source.
Never let your board get roughed up in the waves, especially when you’re close to the beach. You have to protect it from major strains. A wave that takes your board and rolls it can do damage.
Do not hold it by the leash indefinitely because it can give way under very high tension. Avoid big waves and don’t resist. If it breaks, it’s easy to change but annoying.
Stay away from oysters: this is one of the few seashells that can cut your board and sink it in seconds. Be careful +++
Don’t let your inflatable board rub on something for a long time. It can happen on a boat, for example, that your board moves with each wave and rubs for hours in the same place. The material will disintegrate because it will be as sanded. You will have a hole that will need to be covered with a patch.
Never put the board between the wave and you: risk of a broken nose type injury 😉
Do not paddle far at sea with an offshore wind, and avoid windy outings as it is rarely fun and always dangerous. SUP is an activity that involves real risks, even in seemingly peaceful conditions. Always anticipate these risks and protect yourself.
Equipments
In addition to the package accessories (paddle and leash), the board is equipped with:
- 1 single fin with removable US Standard box allowing the use of a variety of fins.
- 2 forward ergonomic carry handles for transport, rolling over in the waves and for passenger comfort.
- 2 centered carry handles, 1 at the nose and 1 at the back to facilitate board manipulations.
- 1 neoprene centered carry handle in the middle for easy transport and entering the water.
- 5 mm Velvet Traction pad: for maximum comfort and adherence.
- Tail pad with kicker for perfect foot placement on the tail.
- Leash ring on tail to not lose your board.
- Inox tow ring under the nose that serves as added camera security.
- ELS feature (Expendable Load System) : adjustable flat straps permitting to secure your waterproof bag and paddle in case you want a quick dip or have a yoga session!
- High pressure inflation valve under the nose to facilitate deflation and storage.
- Double action inflation pump.
- Transport bag with wheels and padded shoulder straps for comfortable carrying.
- Repair kit (glue not supplied).

The Couine Marie Allround comes with a US central fin because the objective of the Couine Marie range is to have a high performance SUP. When we know that the fin makes 50% of the performance of a board, GONG had to come up with a relevant solution. This is why our inflatable SUPs offer a US box for the center fin. Thus, you will have access to the largest standard on the high-end fin market. A huge choice of fins to adapt according to your level, your practice and the conditions.
It is equipped with all the high-end accessories:
- a new ultra-worked Velvet Traction Pad which now equips all our top-end boards;
- a central padded handle in soft neoprene;
- ergonomic silicone racing carrying handles;
- our ELS feature for very simply and firmly attaching bags / bottles etc. to your board;
- a fin with a quality shape and a US box compatible with all the best fins;
- a spacious and robust wheeled bag.
It is equipped with five carrying handles to grab it easily.
- A central padded and neoprene handle to carry the board under your arm.
- Two ergonomic silicone “turtle” handles in the front third that allow you to either pass the foams by pulling the board, or to get out of the water by dragging the board over the water.
- Ergonomic front and rear silicone grips for easy launching and handling of the board in the water and on land. Really practical!
The Couine Marie SUP boards are now equipped with our ELS feature (Extendable Load System). These adjustable, elastic and aesthetic straps have been specially designed to allow you to easily install all your equipment on board.
We have made using the ELS system extremely easy and intuitive. The elastic straps are easy to adjust. No more struggle to slip (sometimes in vain) your bag under the bungee cords at the risk of crushing your stuff. Simply loosen the straps, install your gear, and retighten them to perfectly fix your load.
Our ELS feature simplifies your life and saves you precious time while bringing a touch of style and modernity to your board!
The large diameter leash ring is the strongest on the market. And we’ve added a towing ring for safety, but also because it’s really handy to have an attachment point on the nose during transport, at anchor, or to secure a camera.
The new 5 mm Traction Velvel Pad is particularly designed to be even more comfortable. Very aesthetic, it offers a perfect grip and a velvet touch! The feeling is ultra soft and you can feel the board perfectly under your feet. The board is all the more responsive. Long sessions without tiring or slipping are all yours!
The supplied double-action inflation pump is super efficient to be the first in the water.
A repair kit is also included in the event of damage (note the kit is delivered without glue which you will easily find in your DIY store). Note that we have the components of your board in stock in order to repair it fairly easily.
Everything comes in a super practical and solid rolling carry bag.
- The wheels are on the opposite side to the carrying face so as not to pinch your buttocks when walking and not to roll on the carrying straps.
- These backpack straps are very padded and comfortable.
- The handles are super strong and comfy.
- The large front pocket allows you to store your accessories and personal effects without risking losing them.
- And the compression straps keep the bag volume to a minimum.

Delivery
Delivery delay
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.
Eco-responsible packaging
Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.
The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.
For our shipments, we use:
- Scotch craft paper.
- Final packaging in high-end cardboard.
- For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.
This means:
- Reusable and recyclable packaging.
- An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.
- Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).
Receipt of your product
Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.
Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
